Met with Tsui to buy some instruments for G-ONE this afternoon, then Albert joined us at Tom Lee. Later Albert and I were going to Wan Chai since Albert had an interview there. While waiting for Albert, I went to 集成中心 to walk around. There is this 集成展廊 which is now showing some artworks by 香港痙攣協會 Clients of The Spastics Association of Hong Kong

Minori HK Trip

For the last 5 days, I brought my Japanese friend Minori to visit many HK places that she wanted to go. Oh yeah, brought her to eat so many different Chinese food and desserts. Gosh I have gained lots of weight myself from all the eating! Though I think it's great to show her all the interesting things in HK. We also had some discussion on wars between Japan and China. I guess we all want world peace and no more war, even though it doesn't seem like it. Anyway, we took photos for the food and the family dinner at my house with my parents and cching. Enjoy!

My First Bday Party at McD!

What a surprise party my friends threw me! A birthday party at McDonalds!!! I could never thought of that would actually happen! Anyway thank so much to Mac, Kit, K, Riki, Tap and cching for such a wonderful time.

Forza Barca

It was a good match to watch Barcelona beated Benfica to get to the semi-final. Next opponent will be AC Milan. It's gonna be a tough match but I think Barca will beat them cos they are in good form and some of the injured players should be able to return to the squad. I hope Messi will return because he for sure will give the old Milan defense some difficulties!

Finally finish this CD project! It's been many long nights. After all, I am happy that it's done now! It was fustrated at times but also get to practise something I wasn't good at. Through this project, I learn some new stuffs. I have to give a big special thanks to my girl cching because she helped me alot! Love ya hun!

Still Alive

These days been busy working on the 林夕x伍樂城 CD design. It's the first time I'm handling a commerical CD work. It's gonna be a good portfolio for me. The deadline is 29th so I only have few more days to work on, so hopefully I get to deliver some very good works to the client.

Next, the bassist from my band decided to quit because he wants to focus on his salon work. Well, all I can say is I wish him all the best. So now just the drummer and I are jamming and writing songs. Hopefully soon we will be able to find the needed members and complete the line up. So far we have written 2 songs and I think they're good.

Also I need to pick up the bible because I haven't read it for awhile now.

Finally sold my Gibson SG61. Quickly I went to Tom Lee to buy the ESP LTD EC1000. It really suits my playing style which is metal/hardcore. Anyway heavy stuffs! Can't wait to plug this guitar to the Peavey 6505+ head!!!

Taiwan Photos 1

Back Home

Back home last night at 12ish. It was a good trip except the 2nd last day, many many stores were closed in Taipei due to Chinese New Year. I didn't get to go to The Wall which is a place for music, music and more music. It has a venue that can fit over 650 people and many stores in that place. Basically it's like a forum! Though I still enjoy my trip alot! I ate alot and I felt I have put on 5-8 lbs. Oh gosh!!!

Overall I think Taiwanese are very polite with good manner. I enjoy their culture alot! There are many many bookstores and we have spent quite some times there reading. I have bought 2 books, one is about undergound music in China and the other one is about a famous Taiwanese death metal band Chthonic.

Oh there are many pretty girls in Taipei too! Though I don't see many handsome guys. So if you are single and you can speak a bit of Mandarin, try your luck in Taipei!!!

Thanks for helping me to shop last night! I hope you like the little gift I bought for you! I am sure the gloves will be warm enough so wear them in cold weather! Last night I bought a green cap (as I knew my mom wouldn't like it before I showed her this morning) and a pair of Levi's. I am not really a Levi's person but I think they look really good on me. I like its washing and the color! Well, I still have to find times to get some tops as I haven't bought any after all.

Oh yeah last night went to a very nice place to have chocolate fudge cake and some drinks. I like the cake alot and my drink is good! My drink is called "All Full Down" and I never had this before. Basically I told the guy I wanna try something new and I told him I like something strong. Well, this drink is strong! I will sure to try this drink again later cos I love the taste!

Ok, tomorrow I will bring you to a place for cheese cake and tea! Hope you will like it!

Peavey 6505+ Head

Another good news in year 2006, yeah I bought the Peavey 6505+ Amp! This is the amp I have wanted for awhile. Since I found a buyer for the old amp head, so I can get this new one! I sent an email to peavey.com asking them the dealer in HK as I heard there is no music store selling it. Then I called the HK number and they said they are the warehouse, the person then gave me the number from 東莞 Dongguan. I called and found out it's a factory so they gave me another number which is in Shenzhen. As I called this time finally get to someone who can help me! He's really nice too and he spoke Cantonese to me. I ask him the price and he gave me a price which is very high. Anyway, I told him I can get the amp in the States with much lower. I told him I need in urgent and if he can give me a much lower price, I don't mind to go to Shenzhen to pick up. Anyway, he told me to wait, as they will check for me. Then couple hours later another guy called and he told me they can give me a better deal. Wow, this new deal is even cheaper than the deal from the States. (shipping from US to HK cost $200USD) So of course I wanted it! Well, he told me after I transfer the money to them, I can arrange pick up or delivery from Sheng Wan. Anyway, this afternoon, they finally delivery the head to my bandroom! I tried it and I LOVE IT!!!

Heading to Taipei

Ok people, it's been a whole week I haven't updated my blog! The reason is that I was working on a freelance job. I have to rush out a school prospectus and a press conference booklet in a few days. For a few days I didn't even go outside of the house. The last 2 days I even brought my computer to Baron School of Music to work with the people there since they have the contents changing alot. Now I am glad the job is over and I will soon get my good pay cheque!

I will go to Taipei on the 26th! Yeah cos I have never been there! I am going with Kit, Mac, Riki and Tap! I can't wait to go cos I think it's a very interesting city. Oh yeah more surprise is that Lowee is going to Taipei on the 25th. We have just talked about going to clubs there. She told me there are so many hip hop party girls!

Stupid Guitar Buyer

This stupid guy who met me at CWB MTR station, wanting to buy my Gibson SG61. As I have told him that my guitar have some scratches from playing. Also some scartches on the back of the guitar by the belt. So they are pretty much 90% new! I never mentioned it's new. Anyway, when I finally met up this guy, he saw the guitar and told me the condition is not good because of some chips and scratches. Damn! I don't keep the guitar in my closet. I played it come on! Also the condition he mentioned is so so so minor! BTW, before we met, I told him on the phone that we can go into Tom Lee to try it on to hear the sound and see if the guitar works. He then told me that he would just meet up in MTR since he's in rush. Gosh, if you don't try it then how you know you are paying for something works! Plain Dumb!!!

Jam

Tonight I jammed with Pak To at 506 for the first time over a year. It was great to play with him again. We tried to jam around with riffs and stuffs. At the end of the night, we came up with some parts which we are going to develope. Can't wait for Danny to jam with us next time!

I Quit

Today I quited my job. It's a decision I have thought of over the last couple of weeks. There are many reasons to it. First and the main reason is I feel like my body is wearing down with long hours work in front of the computer. My shoulders, my back, my lower back, my arms and of course I worry about my kidney the most. Also the reason I want to quit is that I have no more time to do things I can usually do. Things such as playing music, hanging out with friends, serving with G-ONE and even dinner with my family. Many nights I went home everyone is sleeping, I feel quite lonely at times when I was working in the studio by myself.

Anyway, I have made the decision so I am looking forward to a new life now!

Moved my Marshall Stack, guitar and some effects back to 506 bandroom. It's been a long time I haven't been to 506. Now that my ex band Zao Yao is done. The drummer and bassist and I will form a new group. The other guitarist will move on with his own stuffs. I think this time the new band is going to be heavier! Can't wait to get together to jam. Oh yeah, still need to find one more guitarist and probably a vocal. Let's see what's going on!

I Am So Tire

Finally I get to sit down and write something. These past days I worked like a dog. I got my brain and body tired. For the last 3, 4 days I didn't sleep much. Right now I can't really tell you about the project despite I may have spoken it out to some of you. Anyway, this project is BIG! Well, for the people in HK, you guys will see it in Jan 1st. For the people who don't know about this project. I can tell you guys a bit. I have designed a big billboard for a famous composer who will open up a music school soon. The billboard is located in Causeway Bay.

Well that's all I can say for now! Later on I will post my work up. Oh yeah, I will go to the site to take some photos so that you guys will get to see it. Anyway this is going to be a good portfolio for me and of course the network from the clients.

So this is probably the only x'mas time that I have worked in my whole life. Even though it's tiring but seriously for some reason, I quite enjoy it! I think one of the reasons is that I get to do something I like! I just hope that I will still find time to play music with my new band.

One last thing, I finally bought myself the MXR KFK EQ pedal and the Boss Noise Suppressor. I can't wait to use them to create some monster heavy guitar sounds!

一名路透記者稱，可以看到煙霧從會展中心附近區域升起，警方已開始使用催淚瓦斯。抗議者向戒備森嚴的警方防線發起衝擊，闖過了第一道防線，防暴警察則使用胡椒粉噴霧器、警棍和消防水龍頭全力阻擋。目擊者稱，已有20多名抗議者在胡椒粉噴霧中受傷；香港電台報導，至少一名警察受傷。許多抗議者是激烈反對開放本國稻米市場的韓國農民。數以千計的反全球化示威者當日下午稍早先上街和平遊行，呼喊著打倒WTO的口號，抗議本次貿易談判。但隨著抗議人群越聚越多，他們開始衝擊警察防線，示威行動隨之升級。

This whole WTO issue is pretty FxxKED UP now!!! I don't think it's right for the protestor to take extreme action such as throwing stuffs to the police or trying to hurt anyone. Absolutely wrong!

Now what will you do if you are the Korean farmer? I want to hear people givng out suggestions because I have never heard anyone telling me what they can do instead.

Air Guitar

Last Saturday afternoon my friend Rico Kowk called me to help him for the 新城勁爆新人巡禮 at HKTEC. Well, I helped him and guess what I did? I was playing the air guitar on the stage. The guitar was plugged but actually it didn't have the sound. It was MMO during his set. Well, I was a good ACTOR as I moved around with the guitar pretending I was having so much fun playing it. Gosh, I won't do something like this again, though I enjoyed the time in the back stage because there were lots of pretty new singers there.

Today mom and I brought Muizi to see the doctor as Muizi was limping last night. The doctor told us that Muizi's right leg has some problems which will be better to have surgery as she's young so she will get recovered better and faster! Poor Muizi already had done the surgery with her left leg and now it's her right leg. I hope this little baby can won't have to suffer again :(
