以試煉為喜樂

The last few days were tough! I had gone through some difficulties. I really had no clue why things happened that way. I asked myself, asked you and asked HIM. I prayed and hoped good things would come. I am still waiting for the answer. Though this time I am not going to give up that easily. When I read James, it gave me some strength to believe good things still can happen when I have confident.

我的弟兄們,你們遭遇各種試煉的時候,都要看為喜樂;因為知道你們的信心經過考驗,就產生忍耐。但忍耐要堅持到底,使你們可以完全,毫無缺乏。

共鳴

Just got home from Skyway Studio. We practised 3 hours for the song 共鳴 which will be recorded on a charity CD. From what I heard, the CD will feature some Christian bands/groups which is to help fundraising. This is the first time that G-ONE HK will go to a studio for recording. Yik wrote this theme song for Future Acoustic. Like all of Yik's songs, this one is also in Mandarin.

Yik: vocal & acoustic guitar
Ben: electric guitar
Joe: electric guitar
Homan: bass
Tsui: drums

We will go into the studio in July 2nd. Hopefully everything will run smooth! I am sure this will be very interesting!

Ginja Rock

Went to see Jun Kung's band Ginja Rock at Mong Kok's IT Modena with Riki and Kit last Friday. It was a great show. The house speakers sucked though as it went on and off during the show. I really like their own songs as they rock! They also covered many famous old songs.

城大 City U Show

Last night I went to City U to watch a band show. It's been a long time I haven't gone watching show. It's great to see many friends from the indie scene. Many of them asked me how's my feet and etc. Also talked to my ex-bandmates as they will play the first show later this month. Well, here I wish them all the best! Pak To actually talked to me about now with just 1 guitar (after my departure), the sound became much thiner and not as good. Well, I told him let's see what's going on maybe one day we will play again together. Somewhat I miss the band. We had a good time and I always thought we could do something really good.

Irresistible Hearts opened for the show. These guys contained 3 members form ex-Hardihood. Overall I like their songs but it will be nice if they add more melodic parts to their songs. It will probably give the songs more diversity and interesting to hear.

Freestyle played 2nd and they had a good performance. It's their last show as well. I wish them well as I hope they will keep on playing music.

意色樓 is the new band with ex-Choke members plus Ting from SIQ. I enjoy their performance. Ah Lai jumped to the crowd a few times which really get everyone high.

After a 3 years break, 秋紅 Qiu Hong played their first show last nite. They played great and the crowd was very high when they played! It's great to know that people are singing along to their songs, imagine that they only released some demo mp3. They have the protential to get big! Keep on Rocking!

張震嶽 sang 3 songs and he spent too much time to fix the amp. I enjoyed his songs even though I don't buy his CD. I think I only bought one CD from him few years ago.

Also I really enjoy Whence He Came alot. It's their last show with the current line up. I really like their songs alot. Joshua is a great singer and guitar player! He's also a sincere guy too. Remember the first time I met him and talked to him after a show.

Who's The God?

Tonite after the dinner with G-ONE cores and Hilson (talked to him about joinning G-ONE) I took 102 bus home, this old man (let's call him A) talked to me as he thought I didn't know about the bus. Anyway, so after we got on the bus, A asked me to sit close to him so we can talked. A mentioned about his son and how he was lucky to meet a girl when he was not doing well in other aspects. I told A I am a christian and my story about what God has given to me while I was recovering my feet. Anyway, A then asked me about how can I forgive my enemy. A (he's a Tao 道教) told me he studied in some Catholic or Christian schools before. As he started to tell his story on forgiving, then another old man (a Christian and he's a genetics 遺傳學 professor who had been paying attention earlier) jumped in and said it's hard to forgive your enemy. He said he can forgive the Japanese when they invaded China but can't forgive the Chinese Communist because they killed his family. The professor is 70 years old and he made some comments on humans. He said to me that one time he was at France given out his speech, saying that as species 生物, it's ok for the people who has down syndrome 唐氏綜合症 not living in this world because they give too much pain to the parents and also themselves. They also cost this world extra effort. He told us many people from that conference argued with him. Anyway, I told professor I also disagree with him. Then he asked me this question, saying why? I told professor becuase nobody has the right to say who deserves to live and who doesn't deserves to live. Then he said to me, "Who's the God?" I then understood that he used the negative saying to approach to us that only God has the power to choose who lives or who's not. I later asked him about the conflict between science and religion? He told me we human try to think we make the rule, but actually it was God who has created all the rules many many years ago. He said that many scientist tried to find that one answer but at the end, they find the answer from the bible. Too bad that he has to leave the bus. Otherwise we could keep on this subject.

Dear Loyal Readers

You really want to know
Especially my good friends
Something happy to tell you
I am doing pretty good these days
As my leg is recovering and getting better
My moment now is speechlessly good
Dear friends
Are you enjoying your moment now
Thank God for what He has given you
I wish you can receive His love
Never doubt yourself
Good will always be with you

I went out!

Yesterday after my physio therapy session at the hospital, I went out with my mom to shop. Since the hospital is close to my dad's company, so we had dinner with him. Mom and I went to Wan Chai to buy some computer stuffs. I bought the Philips headset for somebody (you know who you are if you're reading this! hehe) and bought myself the Philips 2.1 speakers for my computer. It's been over 1 1/2 week I had not listened to my music through speakers as my hi fi (connected to my com) was broken. The sound of this speakers are good! As for the price is pretty good at $350. Pretty much the best deal for this price range. I didn't want to get the JBL as they are pretty expensive $9xx and plus. Anyway, I am happy for what I got! Yeah!
