Alright, some updates!

It's been awhile I haven't updated my blog. These days I am enjoying my new job at city'super! It's decent pay with good work hour. What more can I ask for? Since my design post is actually under the marketing deparment, I have a thought about studying a marketing degree, only if I have the money though. It's gonna be expensive!

We have just finished our 3rd song yesterday. It's quite different to our first 2 songs. It has more melodic parts than ever. I think everyone of us likes it because it gives the band a different side. Next it will be our 4th song. It's gonna be a song with all the rage and angry. The topic, we had it for quite awhile. It will be a song all our members want to talk about - some type of people that we had problems seeing and dealing with.

Ok, I am going to listen to the new Deftones now. I just finished the new Killswitch Engage. It's good and I need to listen to it more to make my comment. Anyway, it's KSE, so you know what you are getting.

Evening Mourning Meeting For Dogs in China

As a dog lover and a dog owner myself. I am quite shock to see that in our country, there is such an unhuman act. How can people going out to kill over 100,000 dogs? Just because they are a bigger dog? What the F**K is going on in this world? I will go to the "Evening Mourning Meeting For Dogs in China" in Dec 2. Anyway, we made peace with that guy I mentioned. During the Sunday service at church, God told me to go ahead to say sorry to him because for once I said something rude to him. Maybe it was the reason this whole thing turned out to be a mass. So I called and said to him I was sorry with the words that I used and said. I also told him let's talk and see if problems can be solved. Anyway, things turned out to be better and he's going to leave the bandroom with the same money we gave him (for the stuffs that we share), also we are going to give him a bit more for the carpet. Anyway, things are now ok even though we may not like each other, but at least to me, he's not my enemy anymore. Maybe I wont call him a friend, but for sure I won't call him a jerk. After all it's not easy to hate someone that you once care.

Jerk

We used to have a friend who played in the same old band with us, but now I will call him a JERK. To say all the shits he has done to our band, it will take alot of time to say them all. Anyway, the worst thing I have experienced with him is this one:

As we were not playing in the same band anymore, we decided that we will no longer want to rent the bandroom together. So he then decided to leave. As he went on to pack up his stuffs. He told me that we broke a EQ effect rack's handle. He said that because we moved it so we should be responsible for it. Ok, since we had already had tough time dealing the rent and stuffs with it. I told him that I would bring it to have a fix. As first he told me to buy him a brand new one, of course that's impossible. So today Danny and I went to Sham Sui Po to have it checked up. Under the bright light, I found that there were some super glue left over on the broken/cracked area. The people from the store I went to told me that yes it was glue left over. Gosh, what a fucking guy!!! The rack is broken already and he wanted us to pay for it. No fucking way! Anyway, he's no longer my friend because he's a fucking jerk!

Interview

Today got a phone call to interview at noon. It was a very rush one as they wanted to see me this afternoon. So I have to quickly take a shower and fix my look a bit. Then I needed to go to bandroom to pick up my portfolio as I left it there. Tried to pick up a copy of the work I did from cching but I couldn't have time at the end. Well, I did get to the office on time. The company is called Financial Times which is located at Two IFC. We had the interview at the big conference room which has a super nice view.

They looked through my works and they liked them. They explained to me their works and stuffs that I will have to do if I get hired. Anyway, it's not much creative works but I think it's still challenging. I hope to get this job as it seems a good one. Anyway, it's a 4 months contract so if they like me I can be promoted to permanent staff.

Chelsea Being Cheap

Chelsea Preparing A Sandy Reception For BarcelonaWith less than two weeks to go to the Champions League clash with Barcelona, Chelsea ground-staff were pictured dumping tons and tons of sand onto the Stamford Bridge pitch.

The Sun carried pictures showing Chelsea systematically spreading tons of sand over the pitch, something that has immediately caught the attention of the Barcelona camp.

Last year's Champions League last sixteen clash between the two clubs was preceded by accusations of Chelsea deliberately allowing their pitch to deteriorate, so that Barcelona struggled to play their game.

Prior to Barcelona's visit in February, pictures of the Stamford Bridge pitch showed more pot-holes than even surfaces, allegedly due to a complete lack of maintenance, though Mourinho and co. argued that it was just due the rigours of a long season.

Barcelona would go on to win that game 2-1, with Asier del Horno being sent off.

Just a few days after Barca's visit, the entire pitch was re-laid.

Every clash between the two sides has been filled with controversies, and there seems to be more on the way after this recent incident, which Chelsea have since claimed is just a routine maintenance activity.

Even some Chelsea players are said to have complained about cuts suffered as a result of the rough sand.

Barcelona are reportedly monitoring the situation carefully. Watch this space...

Everything is back to OK now. I guess life is full of doubts and that's why it's challenging and interesting. I am trying to be a better person daily but many times I fail. I have to do more prayers and ask God to give me the power and will to be a better man.

Family Values Tour

So far my trip to Toronto is good! I had good food, met my good friends and went to the old church. Yeah also met up some new members of Toronto G-ONE. I also visited my favorite music store Steve's Music. So great to go to that store to look around and try out some guitar stuffs.

Anyway, today I am going to see Family Values Tour! Gonna meet up Andy and his friend at Scarborough Town Centre first! If you want to know the band list, check here! Well, Deftones, Walls of Jericho and Stonesour are the bands I want to see the most! Korn is alright but I have seen them before but heard that Jonathan (vocal) will not be able to play in this tour. Well will see what happen! I am sure other bands will be great too! Anyway, I will have fun and upload some photos soon! Take care y'all!

The Edmonton Gathering

So nice to be able to see many of my old friends from Edmonton! Yeah that was the time I first went to study in Canada, before I moved to Toronto. Some of the guys/girls I haven't seen for over 13, 14 years since I moved to Toronto. It's so great to know everyone is doing fine. Some got married and even Sunny has a baby boy now!

We gotta have another gathering later and hopefully more old buddies will come out next time! We talked about the old days, there were good and bad moments, but we all think that they were all good memories.

Oh yeah next Tuesday I will fly to Toronto! Can't wait to see my good friends there. I am getting excited as I haven't seen them for 3 years since moved back to HK. I am sure the trip will be a good one because Toronto, to me, is the best city in the world.

Maybe one day I will move back there!

Last night when I got home, walked past a restaurant. I saw a man smoked in front of a pregnant woman. Don't know if that's his wife or girlfriend, but it's plain stupid! I think there are many selfish smoker in this city. I think they should consider others more.

My Wrist - More Update

Today went to have the x-ray scan, the result is I broke a little bone in the wrist. The doctor told me it's quite serious because there isn't as much blood flow so it will take more time to heal. Good news is that I dont have to pay alot of visit to the doctor, probably just one more week but I just have to be careful with my wrist for the next 3 months.

It's a blow to my trip to Toronto as I will need to pay attention to my wrist and not to fool around.

My Wrist - Update

Now that my wrist is a bit better, so I can do some more typing! I hurt my wrist from playing football the other day. I was jumping toward the ball in the air, I think someone under cut me and then I landed badly on the ground with my wrist and arm hit the ground first.

Anyway, I am now visiting some Chinese bone specialist and tomorrow I will have the x-ray check up. Hopefully I will be fine soon!

My Band

Let's talk about the bad news first! Our guitarist Chi will be leaving us after 2 months jamming with us. He's going to Australia trying to find a job there. Well, I wish him all the best! However his departure really hit our band hard as he's one real good person with good guitar skills and songwriting idea.

Well, then there is this good news. My friend Benny came to our bandroom to jam with me and Pak To last night. This kid is awesome. He's a good vocal who can play decent guitars and drums. I have known him for 2+ years now and he's a really good person. He also have alot of passion in music and life in general. I guess Benny and I have quite alot in common like how we look at the indie music scene and also our views toward the city and the life in HK. Anyway, we will try to play with him more to see if things can work out. Hopefully he will be our vocal for the future!

We gotta work hard and hopefully we can do something with this band!

iPod Reborn!

Brought my iPod to Mong Kok Ho King to have the battery replaced. It costed me HK $138 but now the battery is even better than the original stock. My iPod is the 4th generation which supposed to play 8 hrs straight. Now the battery can actually plays up to 12 hrs and I tried it today and it has played 10 hrs already and the indicator still showing some battery left! Yeah!

Tomorrow will be another long day! These days the work load is so heavy that we have to OT alot. I got to bandroom late tonight because of OT! Gosh I need time to do my own stuffs. Anwyay, I wont work there long as I will quit the job and head to Toronto in August 22 for 3 weeks. Then will come back to find a better job (hopefully).

Find this news from fcbarcelona.com as the team will have new kits for 06/07 season. Personally I think I like the old one better because I like the more stripes on the top. Well, maybe later one I will like it more cos last year, I didn't like Barca with the red shorts and blue socks (they never had red shorts before). Then the more I see them, I start liking it more. Anyway, the orange visitor color is pretty nice color, better than the neon yellow for the past season.

Welcome Chi

So finally Chi joined us! This is a very good news to me and Pak To since we have been looking for members to complete the line up for awhile. Chi is a good guitarist who is also good riffs and song writing. It's good that we all get along pretty well too! Now we have to find the bassist to complete the line up of the band. In the mean time, we are going to write songs and keep on practising! Hopefully sometimes this year we will be able to do some shows and probably releasing some music.

Man, I need a freaking makeover! I gained so much fat since my leg injury last year. All the late night snacks I had when watching football are now locating inside my stomach! Gosh! I can't imagine I will get worse and worse. Beside looking bad, it's not good for my health too.

For whatever reason, this time I dont feel so sad. Even though it's your call to break up. Maybe we need some time away from each other or maybe you want this to end. Anyhow life goes on! Sometimes I have the pictures of us doing different things in the past. I think some memories will always last. I have questions in the head but without answers.

I realized I have been writing this blog for over 1 year. I started it in March last year when I injured my leg. I don't know if I will keep on writing because as you see in last 2 weeks, I haven't really updated my blog much.

Sometimes I think I can't write everything I want in here because I DO AFRAID that I will offense some people or said something that people don't like. However most of the times, I did have the guts to say it out, and say it out loud! I guess since we only live once in this world (of course I believe there is heaven and I will go there after death).

Barcelona Wins

This is the photo from uefa.com showing Eto'o scored the goal to tie the game. Barcelona's Belletti later scored another goal to win the game 2-1. It was such a dramatic football game! When Arsenal scored the first goal, my heart stopped! Took me so long to get pumped again! It's such a memoriable night for all the Barcelona fans. As a long time fan for Barca, I am so so so happy to see they take the highest price in Europe! Hopefully next year I will get a chance to go visit Barcelona the city and watch some live game!

Minori HK Trip

For the last 5 days, I brought my Japanese friend Minori to visit many HK places that she wanted to go. Oh yeah, brought her to eat so many different Chinese food and desserts. Gosh I have gained lots of weight myself from all the eating! Though I think it's great to show her all the interesting things in HK. We also had some discussion on wars between Japan and China. I guess we all want world peace and no more war, even though it doesn't seem like it. Anyway, we took photos for the food and the family dinner at my house with my parents and cching. Enjoy!
